What data we collect

Site Annotator stores your annotations locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API. Annotations include:

• Page URLs you annotate
• CSS selectors of annotated elements
• Text content of annotated elements
• Your written instructions and comments
• Browser viewport size at time of annotation

Where data is stored

All data is stored locally on your device using chrome.storage.local. No data is sent to any server, third party, or external service. We have no servers, no accounts, and no analytics.

Data sharing

We do not collect, transmit, or share any data. When you export annotations, the file is saved directly to your device. You control who you share it with.

Permissions

• activeTab - Required to interact with the page you're viewing and highlight elements.
• storage - Required to save your annotations locally between sessions.

Third-party services

None. Site Annotator has zero external dependencies and makes no network requests.
